- Audit anaylsis tools
- Conducting peer reviews
About Me
I am currently the City Auditor in Austin, Texas. Since joining the City of Austin in 1999, I have had the opportunity to manage audits and investigations in most areas of City operations. I was appointed as City Auditor by the Austin City Council in 2015. I am a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Government Auditing Professional, and Certified Fraud Examiner. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Trinity University and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas. I am a self-professed nerd, and particularly nerdy about auditing, maps, and craft beer.
In addition to my work with the City of Austin, I participate in several advisory boards and professional organizations including:
- The Comptroller General’s Domestic Working Group
- The Government Accountability Office’s Yellow Book Advisory Council
- The Association of Local Government Auditors (past president and current chair of the peer review committee)
- The executive committee of the Southwest Intergovernmental Audit Forum
